I just want to say thanks for everything!  The trip truly was the trip of a lifetime.  Oscar would always say he has good news and he has bad news, well I've got good new and bad news.  The good news is the trip exceeded our expectations; the bad news is it was so good it would be impossible to ever repeat. Got our trip DVD last week.  Thanks a lot!  It was a great trip and it's nice to have the DVD as a memory.  The trip was a real eye opening experience for my son, so much so that he changed his college major to Spanish and International Business.  He's already planning on a semester abroad in Argentina!

I can't speak to the hunting at La Pelada as I was there for the fishing.  But I'm itching to go back for a cast and blast.  So whether it's a prime hunting area or not (I believe it is)...I'm not going to be much help there.

However, I can recommend Justi and the rest of the Wing Shooting Argentina folks HIGHLY.  I've had the privilege to travel on some amazing fishing trips...but for me, it's all about the relationships that are fostered on the trip. Some guides you go with for the day and have a marginal time.  Some you enjoy for the week.  And some trips you leave with actual friendships.  These guys are in the latter category.  And it applies not only to Justi...but also the fishing/hunting guides at La Pelada.  Really good folks and I was genuinely sad to leave.

One thing that I noticed in Argentina is how hard the guides work.  They truly love what they do and bust butt to make it happen.  That would be true for both fishing and hunting as several of the guides are the same.

But at the end of the day, there is an underlying sense of trust I have in WSA.  They are passionate about their work and their client's experience on the trip.  So you'd be in very good hands.

As for the lodge...it basically kicks ass.  I'm not into fancy schmancy lodges.  This place struck a nice balance between comfort and being a real, working estancia.

You're making me want to go back.  You might see me there in June!

Jill and I showed our pics to some friends (one who has picked up fly fishing in the last year) and are starting to talk about another trip where we can make it to the Patagonia part we missed.  Jill and I were depressed that we missed the second half,  We had a great time with great friends.  Jill said it was the best trip she ever had!  Looking forward to the next one.  Maybe tack on some wine tasting?  Please feel free to use Jill and I as references.
